Original lithograph in colors on heavyweight wove paper by Marc Chagall. Titled Lithograph I, the lithograph was executed as the cover for the 1960 catalogue raisonne of Chagall's lithographs. This lithograph was published by Andre Sauret, Monte Carlo in 1960. This is from the unsigned edition of several thousand. (There was also a signed and numbered limited edition. It was printed at the same time and from the same stones as the signed and numbered version.) This piece is number 281 in Mourlot's Catalogue Raisonne of Chagall's Lithographs.

This lithograph is in good condition. A minor tear to the upper edge has been repaired with archival acid-free tape on the verso. It is only visible in strong light. A second tear has also been repaired with archival acid-free tape and is away from the viewing area. It is framed in a silver frame and matted in black acid-free matting. It is covered with UV-resistant acrylic. Not previously framed. Works such as this sell in high-end galleries for $1,200-2,400.
