Carnaval (1896)
Original lithograph printed in colors on wove paper. Lifetime impression after Jules Cheret for the Affiche
Illustrees series.
Transcribed from Cheret's full-size
1892 poster of the same title by artisans at Atelier Chéret and issued as a plate in the series Les Affiche Illustrees. Published by Jules Chéret and printed at Impremiere Chaix (Atelier Chéret), Paris.
Advertising a masked ball at the Theatre de L'Opera. Since artisans at Impremiere Chaix transcribed the image, this is technically
an "after" Cheret, although it is a lifetime impression.
