Original drawing in pencil on white wove paper. Titled “The Coiffure”, this drawing from 1891 shows a woman arranging her hair. The woman is viewed from the right, with her reflection in the mirror. According to art scholar Adelyn Dohme Breeskin, this is a preparatory drawing for the reknown color etching on the same theme (Br. 152 same title). Contains Mathilde X collection stamp lower right.
