This Piece Has Been Sold Aristide Bruant Ambassadeurs - Lautrec Lithograph
Color lithograph on wove paper after Toulouse-Lautrec. From the 1897 Das Moderne Plakat version
of this famous poster. A fine example in blue, orange, black, yellow, and olive.
Transcribed in 1897 from Lautrec's
1892 full size, 3-foot tall poster designed to publicize the well known Cafe-Concert singer Aristide Bruant. Bruant sang at
several Cafe Concert venues in Montmartre where Lautrec frequented, eventually moving closer to the center of Paris. The image
shows an arrogant Bruant with a bright orange scarf and his trademark hat.

volume Das Moderne Plakat, a collection of small format poster images for collectors. The series was published in 1897 by
Verlag von Gerhard Kuhtmann in Dresden, Germany. Many of these impressions have not survived in good condition; many have
