George Clemenceau's book, Au Pied du Sinai (At the Foot of Sinai), was published
in 1898 by Henri Floury and Printed by Chamerot et Renouard. It told stories of the life of Jews in Poland.
Lautrec executed ten illustrations for the book and a cover piece. (Two additional illustrations and an alternate cover were
also designed, but not used.)
