Original brush and spatter lithograph on wove paper in black ink by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Artist's
mongram (Lugt 1338) on the stone lower left. Titled Une Spectatrice pendant la Chanson de Polin (A spectator watching
the singer Polin), this work was published in 1893, as part of a portfolio depicting popular performers in
Parisian Cafe Concerts. Polin was a performer who poked fun at the French military in various Parisian Concert Cafes. Copyright (C) 2010. J D Smith Fine Art. This impression comes from the regular
edition of 500 on wove paper. (There was also a deluxe edition of 50 on laid Japan paper.) The original portfolio was titles
Les Cafe Concerts and contained 11 images by Toulouse-Lautrec and 11 images by another artist Henri Gabriel Ibels. This
