and aquatint in black ink on laid paper by French Impressionist Edouard Manet. Third state. Titled La Convalescente
(the Convalescent), the print shows an elderly woman in bed with an illness. The etching was created in
1876-78 and published in 1884 by Bazire. This piece is number 85 in Jean Harris's Catalogue Raisonne
of Manet's prints, pp. 221-223.
