Llano y Mujer Original
Prismacolor
Drawing by
Amado Pena
This is an original
work of art, executed in Prismacolor and pencil, by Mestizo artist Amado Pena. Titled Llano y Mujer (Nature? and Wife), this
work shows the rich colors often seen in Native American weavings and pottery. The work is signed by the artist in the lower
left corner of the image. (Prismacolor is a bright color palette medium similar to oil pastel.) From a series called
"The Mestizo Series".
The work is matted and mounted in a raised manner, giving it the effect of floating
in the frame. The pale violet matte contrasts well with the colors used in the image.
