Looking at the Moon

This is an original Japanese woodblock print in colors on paper by Mizuno Toshikata. This print is titled Looking at the Moon from the series 36 Immortal Beauties. The work is double-matted and framed in a rustic bamboo-style frame, with the colors of the mattes complimenting the colors in the image.

Colors and condition are good, with small tear on top right margin, completely outside image.  Remains of former tape mounting upper left and upper right, also completely outside the image. Paper has toned with age as is typical for pieces from this period.
