Original lithograph in colors on white wove paper by Marc Chagall. Titled The Bay of Angels, the lithograph shows a man-fish in the sky over a bay on a brilliant red background. This lithograph was published in Chagall, Lithograph I by Andre Sauret, Monte Carlo in 1960. This is from the unsigned edition of several thousand. (It was printed at the same time and from the same stones as the signed and numbered version.) This piece is number 286 in Mourlot’s Catalogue Raisonne of Chagall’s Lithographs.

In excellent condition, with rich colors. Framed in a silver frame with a lightly distressed finish and matted in black acid-free matting with a silver acid-free inner matte. Covered with UV-resistant acrylic to protect the fresh colors. Not previously framed.
